Studios
The Studios
Commissary is three isolated recording rooms, each approximately 400 sq ft, with 27-foot vaulted ceilings, non-parallel walls and floating floors. Each has a different acoustic character and can be used independently or together depending on the recording.
Control Room
The central tracking and mixing room. API console, Neve and Chandler outboard, BURL conversion and ATC SCM45A monitoring. Pro Tools and Logic Pro on Mac.
Dry Room
A controlled recording space with a shorter decay for vocals, drums, amplifiers, acoustic instruments and overdubs. The 27-foot ceiling keeps the room open while maintaining a tighter, more direct sound.
Live Side
A more reflective room with a longer natural decay, designed for drums, ensembles and live-off-the-floor recording where the room is part of the sound. It can also be used as a natural reverb chamber.
